About Sagesse

Sagesse’s mission reveals its cultural and national commitment, deeply rooted in the history of Lebanon. In fact, its first cores dated back to 1852; when Mgr. Toubia Aoun, Archbishop of the Maronite diocese of Beirut at the time, established his seminar in Ain saade. In 1875, Mgr. Youssef Debs, successor of Mgr. Aoun, deemed appropriate to make a qualitative and demographic move in order to lead the adventure towards a cultural revival on the country’s level in the city of Beirut.

Students Committee
Students vote, in the beginning of each academic year, their council of representatives and the latter in turn designates its executive committee, which is in charge of managing the students’ life on the cultural, social and sports level, in coordination with the administration of the University.
