About HCU

Hariri Canadian University whose aim is to provide quality education catering to the Lebanese and regional job market demands became a reality and opened its doors for the first time on September 15, 1999 with the College of Business Administration, according to the presidential decree 1947 dated 21/12/1999 with a student population of seventy-five students. HCU was granted University status in June 2006, decree number 17192 19/06/06.

Campus Life

Student activities provide opportunities for both educational and personal growth by complementing and supporting the HCU academic mission. Student Clubs bring students, faculty and staff together and enable them to share in a variety of common interests.  All students are eligible and encouraged to enroll in active clubs or form a club reflecting their personal interests or talents.
HCU has six active student clubs including: Community Service Club, Fine Arts Club, International Cultural Club, Magazine and Photography Club, Music Club, and EARTH Club

Admission

How?
Admission to Undergraduate Study
New students can apply to HCU as freshman, sophomore or transfer students for the Fall or Spring semesters. Applications for admission are available at the Admissions Office or can be downloaded from HCU’s web site.

New students can apply for admission to the College of Business Administration, the College of Engineering, and/or the College of Science and Information Systems.

Admission to the graduate programs is based on merit. It is offered to applicants holding undergraduate degrees from HCU or from accredited institutions. Deadline for Undergraduate Applications
Applications have to be filled out and submitted with all the needed documents to the Admissions Office by the applicant herself/ himself no later than:
  • April 15 for applicants to the Fall semester
  • November 15 for applicants to the Spring semester
  • End of February for early acceptance.

Financial Aid
HCU Work-Study Financial Aid Program is designed to help students get through the difficulties they face in paying their tuition fees.  Financial Aid is granted in the form of prepaid work study hours with a fixed hourly rate for all jobs. Students are required to complete a specific number of work hours at a designated office on campus to earn their financial aid.
