Beirut University Online "BUonline" is the first Distance Learning academic institution in the Middle East. BUonline's mission is to bring quality education to the Arab World.
BUonline is a private institution, sponsored by the Institute for Higher Education, a non-profit organization registered in Lebanon, in accordance with the Civil Code of Lebanon, article 844, issued on April 11, 1932.
Founded 1994, The University limited its academic activities to research and consultations. During 1998, "Distance Learning" academic programs were added to BUonline's academic activities, covering the areas of business administration, computer sciences, health sciences and environment studies. The University emphasizes scholarly pursuits that encourage self-motivation, freedom of thought and social responsibility.
The academic program is fully online, computer driven, internet hosted instructional procedure. In addition, periodic residency sessions are held for all registered students. BUonline operates an internship center in the Lebanon Mountains. Students, faculty and staff spend parts of the summer attending required academic and professional internship programs.

New students applying for undergraduate study must submit a formal application to the Office of Admissions by the first week of October for the Fall semester and by the first week of February for the Spring semester. The application forms must be filled by the applicant and returned to the Office of Admissions with the required documents. Incomplete applications or applications not filled in accordance with instructions will not be considered by the Admissions Committee

Application Fee
The University Application for Admission fee of $ 100 [one hundred USD] paid to the Comptroller's Office at the time of application.
Registration Fee
Students have to pay each semester a $ 100 [one hundred USD] registration fee. This fee covers students' services and files maintenance.

Payment of Fees
Students must finalize registration and payment of tuition and charges by the last week of September for the Fall semester and the first week of February for the Spring semester. After the announced deadline for late registration, a late registration fee of $ 50 [fifty USD] will be charged.
